Hamburger & Wild Rice Casserole

You can either pre-cook 1/2 cup of dry wild rice or you can use canned wild rice from the grocery store.     (1/2 cup uncooked wild rice = about 2 cups cooked wild rice after cooking.)

1 lb. hamburger
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, chopped

Brown the three above ingredients in a large fry pan. Then add:

1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 - 15 oz. can of wild rice or 2 cups of pre-cooked wild rice

Once all ingredients are well mixed in the frying pan, pour into a greased casserole dish; cover and bake at 350 for one hour, stirring occasionally.  I took the cover off the last 15 minutes.

The recipe I have says to put it in a casserole dish and bake it for an hour so that is what I did the first time I made it, but I have also served it directly from the frying pan after all of the ingredients are thoroughly heated. Everything is already cooked at that point and the baking really didn't add anything that I could see.
