Sandy's Broccoli Salad

Mix together:


Broccoli tops (about 5 cups) fresh or just very slightly steamed
1/3 c. chopped red onion (chopped fine)
1/2 c. roasted, salted sunflower seeds
1/2 to 1 cup golden raisins or sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 to 3/4 cup bacon (cooked until very crisp)


Dressing:
1 c. lowfat mayonnaise
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. apple cider vinegar
(mix in jar and shake, or mix well with a beater so the dressing is very well blended.)

Add dressing to broccoli mixture and mix well.

Then, add one small can of mandarin oranges (drained). Don't stir too much after adding the oranges because they will break up.

Refrigerate for two to four hours before serving so the flavors blend.
