Small Appliances - Juicer Review

Fresh juice simply tastes better than juice you buy in a can and it has greater nutrition value. You can control the amount of sugar and nutrients you add to the finished product -- making a juicer one of the best buys in small appliances.

I'm going to talk about two small juicers: The Breville Compact Juice Fountain; and the Black and Decker CitrusMate Plus Citrus Juicer. I like both. While the Breville is a better machine, the Black and Decker is a great machine for far less money.

Breville Compact Juice Fountain makes an 8-ounce cup of juice in just five seconds. Compared to other juicers I've tried in the past, the Breville Compact Juice Fountain is much faster with an added bonus of extracting more juice per fruit/vegtable.

The juice isn't as "pulpy" as with other juicers and the juicer is very easy to clean. The base is very stable and the parts are easy to remove.

Things to know about the Breville Juicer:
1) Put the lid on and hold it on. This powerful unit can send fruit juice to the ceiling.
2) Use the included brush to clean the basket. It works! carries the Breville BJE200XL 700-Watt Compact Juice Fountain

Black and Decker makes a small juicer, the CitrusMate Plus Citrus Juicer. It is light and small in size which makes it easy to store.

I've always been a "Black and Decker fan" and this juicer has lived up to the Black and Decker name. You can buy better juicers, but not at this price (or even twice this price).

I love the pulp regulator that allows you to adjust how much pulp you want.

I have a juicer my friend from Australia sent me. It's called the Hippocrates Greenpower Juicer. It's got a twin gear and works great for making juices.
