Skin Care

Taking care of your skin doesn’t have to cost a fortune.

For centuries, women have used natural ingredients to care for their skin. We can use many natural ingredients and not pay the high cost of beauty products. Just because it is expensive doesn't mean it is better; there are many things you can do that don't cost you an arm and a leg.

One such product is the facial mask. You can combine honey, plain yogurt and oats bought in the bulk bin to make a great mask. You should mash the oats to a powder, or use the coffee grinder to make it easier. Then mix two tablespoons of oats, two tablespoons of yogurt, and one tablespoon of honey to make your mask. If you want, you can add a teaspoon of cocoa powder to help tighten the skin.

You can also use strawberries as a natural chemical peel. Try rubbing it over your face. The alpha hydroxyl acids will gently help to disintegrate the dead skin cells.

You can make an exfoliator by adding some sea salt to your regular face cleanser. People older than 30 years should exfoliate once at week, at least.

A good scrub can be made with your morning coffee grounds. Just put three tablespoons and one teaspoon salt into a small bowl. You will want to use any grounds within 20 minutes of brewing, before oxidation occurs. Scrub the mixture over entire body while in the shower. Rinse and moisturize.
